SimEx Inc creates, designs, manufactures and distributes themed special venue attractions to theme and amusement parks, Expos, Space and Science Centres, Museums; Zoos, Aquariums, Planetariums, Family and Location based entertainment centres. SimEx is headquartered in Toronto with offices in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Osaka, London and Lisbon. SimEx is a pioneer in creating special venue entertainment for group audiences featuring large format film, simulation technology and themed environments. SimEx launched in 1984 when it created and built "Tour of the Universe" at the CN Tower in Toronto. Since then its innovative experiences have been installed at thirty locations worldwide, and include: American Wilderness Zoo and Aquarium in Los Angeles, Dallas and Phoenix; New York Skyride at the Empire State Building; Journey to Jupiter at NASA's US Space and Rocket Center; Le Cinaxe at Parc de la Villete, Paris; StarGeo's Speed Journey at the Samsung Children's Safety Museum; Sea Trek in Toronto, Lisbon, Dublin and Tokyo and MARS at Museums and Science Centres in Vancouver, Sudbury, Ottawa and San Diego. SimEx has eight themed experiences in production for release in 1998 and 1999. All SimEx experiences are multi-staged and multi-programmable and feature both 2D and 3D 70mm film technology.
