APREL Laboratories is a knowledge-based firm, established in 1981. It provides research, testing, engineering, training, and consulting services, as well as specialized test instrumentation, to a diverse client base. Customers include telecommunications manufacturers, carriers, major end users, and government. APREL specializes in telecommunications, electromagnetics, and acoustics - and particularly and in the interaction of these areas.   • Special Studies Special studies are carried out to investigate particular behaviour of equipment in its environment, or in interaction with other devices. Examples of past studies are: - the evaluation of electromagnetic environment in postal sorting stations, - interoperability and interference between hearing aids and wireless telephones (including hearing aid compatibility), - development of methodologies for measurement of radio frequency exposure of users of wireless phones (SAR)

  • Testing Expert testing services for electronic / telecommunications devices and systems (commercial and military). Testing may be for performance, quality, regulatory requirements, certification, customer acceptance, compatibility, etc. Can be carried out in APREL's labs, or in situ. Specializtions are: EMI/EMC, Acoustics, telecom / wireless standards, RF safety, environmental. Others available.

  • Training Training in specialized topics such as electromagnetics, wireless health and safety, wireless in healthcare, international certification standards, and others. Custom courses are available on site or at Spectrum Sciences Institute.
