Tulmar specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of engineered protective textiles and survivability solutions for Aerospace, Defence and Security. Headquartered in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Tulmar operates from a modern 60,000 square foot facility with equipment ranging from computerized cutting tables and sewing machines to R.F. (radio frequency) welding and heat sealing equipment. Our R&O facility includes hydrostatic testing and bottle filling as well as ELT testing and re-coding. Tulmar is an integrated partner in the defence vehicle supply chain, deliverying products and capabilities directly and in partnership with leading vehicle and system OEMs. Vehicle subassemblies, stowage equipment and restraint systems produced by Tulmar are in service on armored vehicles and military trucks around the world. Tulmar produces a variety of life jackets for military and commercial use including high buoyancy life preservers for tactical waterborne operations and FAA approved commercial life vests. Tulmar military life rafts are in service on several Canadian Air Force platforms. For the aviation training industry, Tulmar has developed a range of cabin safety equipment from escape slide/rafts to lifejackets and smokehoods. Tulmar builds functional equivalents of OEM equipment designed for durability and continuous in-service use. Tulmar's inflatable shelter system for emergency response teams is rapidly deployable and can incorporate decontamination equipment. LifeRamp,an inflatable ramp for ice/water rescue, is produced in a variety of sizes ranging from 10 feet to 80 feet and is of particular appeal to airport rescue authorities. The company carries on R&D activities related to the above product areas and is interested in discussing product development opportunities with third parties. Tulmar's quality system is certified to ISO 9001-2008. Tulmar also operates a Transport Canada and EASA approved repair station for aviation life support equipment (AMO 67-92, EASA 145.7249). We are an authorized repair station and distributor for AmSafe seat restraints, Winslow Life Rafts and EAM Life Vests and Rafts.
